When winter rolls around it doesn’t take me long to grow weary of all the heavy food and want to mix it up with something light and fresh but still warm and not a salad. In comes this tasty and easy to prepare meal.

What You Will need

For The Sauce

  • 3 cloves and 3 tablespoons of honey from our garlic fermented honey.

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of white miso paste

  • 1 teaspoon of soya sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of mirin

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon (or more) of grated ginger

  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil

  • Every Thing Else

  • 2 Cod fillets

  • 3 Handfuls of Vegetables of your choice

  • 1- scallion/green onion

What To Do

  1. Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl.

  2. Coat the cod in a layer of the sauce (marinate for one hour) and reserve the remaining sauce to top the vegetables.

  3. Preheat the oven to broil.

  4. Place cod in the oven for 3-5 minutes or until the sauce on the top of the cod is bubbling.

  5. Once the cod is bubbling lower oven temperature to 375 and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until fish is flaky and cooked through.

  6. while fish is cooking add 1 teaspoon of sesame or other oil to the pan and cook green vegetables in remaining fish marinade if there is any remaining. This is dependent on how large the cod fillet used was.

  7. place vegetable in serving dish and top with fish and chopped scallion.
